Simon Prior

simon_prior.jpg'From an early age Simon was often the keen sportsman, following on from his ultra-running father. Completing his first running race at the age of 3, he went on to successfully compete at representative levels in a number of sports from badminton and tennis, to basketball and football.'

Keen on adventure, in recent years Simon has taken to kayaking, cycling, running, rock climbing and anything with a bit of a challenge in it.

Simon strongly believes that anything is possible if you work harder enough for it characterised by his successful cycle challenge across the continent of Australia. Anais Nin's quote 'Life expands or contracts depending on one's courage' sums up Simon's attitude to life.

At 6'6" tall with a slender figure it is not hard to imagine Simon in a rowing boat. His long levers and athletic frame conducive for the sport, however, it was not until 2006 that Simon first ventured into a rowing boat whilst on Sydney Harbour. Those days of rowing under the Harbour Bridge inspired Simon on, and the dream of rowing an ocean was borne.

So is Simon excited by the challenge? I so can't wait to leave and start counting down the sunsets, I can't wait to start pushing my boundaries, I can't wait to win
